Ant McPartlin and his wife Anne-Marie Corbett have welcomed their first child together.
The Britain's Got Talent presenter, 49, announced the news today via a sweet post on Ant and Dec's joint Instagram channel, where he also paid tribute to his wife and two step-daughters. It was accompanied by a beautiful black and white photo of Ant holding his newborn, where you could also see a glimpse of its head and fingers.
In the post, Ant mentioned his baby's name, calling him 'beautiful', while he referred to his 48 year old wife Anne-Marie as a 'legend'.
Their baby was born at 8.54am on Tuesday morning, 14 May.
This is his Instagram post in full: "Welcome to the family Wilder Patrick Mcpartlin. Born, 14/05/24 at 8.54am. Baby is beautiful, Mummy’s a legend, Sisters are over the moon. Dad’s a mess!"
Anne-Marie has two daughters – Poppy and Daisy – from her previous marriage to businessman Scott Corbett, whom she divorced in 2017, making Ant a step-dad.
Celebs were quick to congratulate the pair, with TV legend David McCall saying: "Arggggghhhhhhhhhh!!!! This is AMAZING !!!! Congratulations to ALL of you."
TV presenter and Diversity dancer Ashley Banjo simply added: "Congrats guys," with Fred Sireix saying: "Congrats."
When Ant's best pal Dec welcomed his first child with wife Ali Astall in 2018, sources close to the duo had said Ant was struggling with Dec's baby news because he always wanted children himself.
Ant had recently split from wife, TV make-up artist Lisa Armstrong, and was in treatment for his drink and drug addictions.
Things turned a corner when, later on that year, Ant and Anne-Marie were spotted out and about together. They were first linked romantically in June 2018.
In 2019, the couple’s relationship went from strength to strength and they moved into a £6 million mansion in Wimbledon.
Following two years of dating, a besotted Ant got down on one knee and proposed to Anne-Marie on Christmas Eve in 2020.
Speaking of the engagement, Ant told Digital Spy: “It was a lovely way to end the year. I'm a romantic at heart. You know, there were flowers, and afternoon tea in front of the Christmas tree. Lovely. It was lovely.”
The loved-up couple got married the following summer at St Michael's Church in Hampshire, with beaming bride Anne-Marie opting for a stunning one shoulder gown.
