Honor Kneafsey, known for her role as Jodie Dawson in ITV hit series Benidorm, has been spotted looking completely different while on a romantic getaway with her boyfriend. The 19 year old actress, first appeared on the show nine years ago, before leaving in 2017.
Honor recently jetted off to Turkey and shared some adorable pictures on social media, where she looked unrecognisable from her time at the Solana Hotel. In one picture, she's seen gazing affectionately at her partner by a pool, while another shows her posing in an olive green cut-out dress. Her hair, now brown instead of red, was styled in a chic up-do.
Besides Benidorm, Honor has also appeared in Sherlock, How Not To Live Your Life, Siblings 2, Our Zoo and the Barbara Windsor biopic Babs.
The new photos of Honor come after Sherrie Hewson, another Benidorm legend, hinted earlier this year that the show might be making a comeback, six years after it was cancelled.
A fan excitedly asked: "Will there be another series of Benidorm, Joyce?" to which Sherrie heart-warmingly responded: "Never say never," followed by two heart emojis. This response sent fans into a frenzy of speculation, with one chiming in: "Ooo exciting. I know Derren is writing again! ! ! ! What a joy s11 would be", reports the Daily Star.
Others joined in the hopeful chorus, commenting "God let it be true" and "I hope there is."
The ITV comedy series was about a group of British tourists staying at the Solana resort in Benidorm. The show ran from 2007 until 2018, and starred Inside No. 9's Steve Pemberton, Happy Valley's Siobhan Finneran, Johnny Vegas, Sherrie Hewson and Hannah Waddingham. Ted Lasso fans were recently surprised to learn that Hannah wasn't the only star from that series to appear - James Lance (who played Trent Crimm in Ted Lasso) also co-starred in the final series of Benidorm.
Not long ago, Derren Litten, the mastermind behind the beloved ITV show, teased fans with the possibility of its return, revealing he's back to his writing roots after a stint as a DJ. His statement shared the news: "It's been a difficult decision but I've decided to return back to writing for both television and theatre."
He continued: "I have had clear, recent indications that certain TV channels are interested in my decision and I hope you will be watching the fruits of my labour in time to come. Obviously, there are always rumours surrounding such announcements but I would like to make it clear my decision to come out of retirement is purely to spend less time with my family."
