Ant McPartlin has broken cover following the arrival of his baby son. The TV presenter has been spotted out and about for the first time since becoming a dad.
Ant, 48, looked happier than ever as he walked his dogs in the sunshine on Monday, 20 May. The new dad sported a blue sweatshirt and a pair of black sunglasses as he enjoyed some downtime in the capital.
During his outing, Ant smiled as he played with his pet dogs on a field near his London home. The star appeared to be enjoying a quick break from dad duties and looked relaxed as he vaped while walking.
It marks the first time Ant has been seen since becoming a father to baby son Wilder. His wife Anne-Marie gave birth to the baby boy on 14 May, with the pair announcing the happy news on social media.
Ant shared a picture of himself shirtless and cradling the newborn, writing: "Welcome to the family. Wilder Patrick McPartlin. Born, 14/05/24 at 8.54am. Baby is beautiful, Mummy’s a legend, Sisters are over the moon. Dad’s a mess."
The snap also showed off his tattoo on his upper arm, which is of a large tree. Within the branches, five names are hidden, each of which holds a special meaning for Ant. The names are Amzie, Daisy, Poppy, Bumble, Milo and Hurley - Ant's step-daughters and dogs.
The post, which was liked nearly 700,000 times, was remarked upon by a Who's Who of the British TV world, with Holly Willoughby writing: "Congratulations… welcome to the world Wilder… such beautiful news…," and Amanda Holden added: "Oh my gosh, this is just the most amazing news. Congratulations".
Ant is stepping back from his TV duties to cherish these early days with his son, although he and co-star Declan Donnelly are planning a TV comeback just days after ending their hit show Saturday Night Takeaway.
He's on paternity leave now and will be back on our screens for the Britain's Got Talent semi-finals. Ant was last spotted at the BAFTA TV Awards on Sunday night with his long-time pal Dec, reports the Mirror.
Ant has already reportedly given Dec, 48, the important role of godfather to his son. Speaking about Dec's important new role, a source told OK!: “He can’t wait to take on the role of godfather and he’s promised to take his duties very seriously.”
