Ten years ago Philip Green had the nation in stitches when he performed his impressions on Britain’s Got Talent.
The 30 year old, who had been working at the Body Shop prior to his audition, impressed the judges with his impressions of celebs from Natalie Cassidy to Lorraine Kelly and Stacey Solomon.
After ending his audition with an impression of Louie Spence and doing the splits, it was time for Philip to face the judges - and they loved him. Amanda Holden told Philip: "You had us laughing before you even did anything."
Comedian David Walliams said: "You are like a butch version of me."
"You were really funny and loveable," Alesha Dixon added, before Simon Cowell the impressions that "worked" were "great".
While the judges put Philip through to the semi-finals, he was voted out by the public. That was in 2013, and 10 years on, Philip has gone on to have a hugely successful career - as a stuntman.
Not long before his 30th birthday, Philip was accepted into the British Stunt Register – the UK's only member association for stunt professionals.
"Well…What an end to the year and my 20’s! Can finally say I’ve been accepted onto the British Stunt Register I’ve dodged, ducked, dipped, dived & dodged over hurdles, wrenches & challenges.
"I have met amazing friends for life, coaches and people that have supported and inspired me along the way! I also learnt so much about myself and what I can do not just physically but mentally. I can’t wait to carry on learning and getting better!"
During an interview with the Mirror, Philip revealed he was inspired to audition for Britain’s Got Talent after speaking to 2008 winner George Sampson.
Philip told the publication: "I was in Peter Pan in Derby as a dancer with George Sampson. We were at a party with all the company and I started doing my impressions for people.
“George told me I should audition and go for it so I did. I thought if he is saying it then I should.”
The brand-new series of Britain’s Got Talent is currently underway with Alesha, Simon, Amanda and Bruno Tonioli all judging the acts hoping to get through to the final.
The judges revealed prior to the show beginning that some of them press the Golden Buzzer more than once over the course of the series.
So farm Sydnie Christmas, Taryn Charles, choir Ravi’s Dream, dance act CyberAgent Legit and martial art group Ssaulabi Performance Troupe have all received Golden Buzzers and will return for the semi-finals.
