Britain’s Got Talent runner-up Tom Ball showed off his incredible new look and weight loss in a backstage video taken two years after the show.
The 26 year old teacher shot to fame after competing in the 2022 series where he took to the stage to sing. Tom performed a rendition of Sam Smith’s Writing’s on the Wall and received a standing ovation from the judges, Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, David Walliams and Alesha Dixon.
Now, Tom looks completely different and fans were shocked by his appearance in a YouTube video where Tom announced he would be headlining at his local theatre.
In the video, Tom said: "Tonight, in front of 500 people, I get to perform. It's fully sold out, I can't wait to get on the stage and sing some songs that I love," as he shows fans behind the scenes footage during his rehearsal.”
Fans were quick to comment on the former BGT contestant’s success. One fan said: "Tom, you are looking great!!!" Another added: "Such a pleasure to watch you blossom into a super star. You are amazing!"
However lots of comments were on Tom’s change of appearance, including the fact he’s ditched his curly locks. One person wrote: "I miss your curly hair!" Whilst another added: "I LOVE your curly hair, please don't straight them down!!!"
But someone was thrilled with Tom’s new look and simply commented: “Looking fit!”
On the Britain’s Got Talent series, Tom finished in third place, behind ventriloquist Jamie Leahey and comedian Axel Blake who won the series. Tom then competed in the America’s Got Talent: All Stars but he failed to place in the final five.
On a personal note, Tom is now happily married to Hannah Burtenshaw who he first met in 2017 and the pair tied the knot in October 2022.
The 2024 series of BGT is currently underway with plenty of hopefuls wanting to reach the final and perform in front of the Royal family at the Royal Variety Performance.
So far there have been six Golden Buzzer acts who are automatically through to the semi-finals, CyberAgent Legit, Ravi’s Dream Team, Ssaulabi Performance Troupe, Sydnie Christmas and Taryn Charles. In the most recent episode, Amanda put an impressionist, Nabe, through to the next round. She told him: "Normally when I press my Golden Buzzer I am in floods of tears and can't speak. This made me howl. I laughed my head off and have never seen anything like it."
