Camila Cabello has candidly discussed her "beatiful" time losing her virginity to a This Morning star who "expanded her world." The Havana singer, who is now 27, revealed that she was single and hadn't had any sexual partners until she met dating expert Matthew Hussey on the set of The Today Show.
Matthew, now 36, has made a career sharing his Do's and Don'ts of dating - including via regular appearances on ITV's This Morning. Reflecting on her past, Camila told Dax Shephard on his Armchair Expert podcast that despite entering her first relationship quite "late", it all turned out "beautiful" in the end.
"I had my first relationship at that time. I was outside ['The Today Show' studios] where they had the TV with the scripts. We went to dinner that night and that was my first relationship. It was late for my first relationship. I was 20. That was my first time having sex," she said, adding: "First lovemaking was at 20, 21... It was literally lovemaking. It was beautiful.", reports the Mirror.
The singer later ended her relationship with Matthew, who is now married to Audrey Le Strat, in 2019 after more than a year of dating and went on to date singer-songwriter Shawn Mendes for two years. However, she clearly still has a lot of respect for her first love Matthew, telling Dax he was a "great partner". "He was a really great person," she shared. "It was like the perfect first relationship. It really expanded my world because he wasn't in my industry too."
Matthew is a life coach, YouTube personality and a writer of dating books. He is probably most well-known for his 2013 book, Get The Guy: Learn Secrets of the Male Mind to Find the Man You Want and the Love You Deserve. He claims he has helped millions of women "get the love life of their dreams", and has even been endorsed by Hollywood celebrities including Eva Longoria, Drew Barrymore, Rebel Wilson, Ryan Seacrest and Tyra Banks.
In 2017, the Essex-born dating guru appeared on Good Morning Britain to share some advice on finding love. He said: "No one comes to me saying I want to attract the average guy, everyone wants to attract extraordinary and to do that you have to be extraordinary. I believe it's a thing called unique pairings. If a women meets a guy who's just a gentleman, he becomes really boring. If a guy is just fun, he is hard to pin down and unreliable.
"If a guy is charming and a gentleman but has got a bit of edge, that's the guy who people get addicted to. It's two unique qualities you don't usually find in the same person - in the same person."
