It’s official – Emma Stone is a two-time Oscar winner after scooping the award for Best Actress at this year’s Academy Awards. The Poor Things star looked stunning as she accepted her award in a light blue Louis Vuitton gown, but it was her pale pink makeup look that we can’t get enough of.
Unlike most traditional Hollywood glamour, Emma’s makeup was fresh, natural-looking and pared down, and the pastel tones were giving us some major springtime vibes. Naturally we’re already planning on recreating it as we head into a new season, so we’ve done some digging to find out exactly which products she used to get the look.
From her skincare and body prep to the must-have pale pink hues, it turns out Emma’s makeup look was done using top to toe Charlotte Tilbury products. Her skin was prepped using a combination of CT products including the Magic Water Cream, £79 here, the Magic Serum Crystal Elixir, £65 here, and the Magic Hydrator Mist, £35 here, to create a hydrated, dewy complexion.
If you want to see every single item used, her makeup artist Rachel Goodwin has shared a full breakdown of her look over on Instagram, However, our favourite pink-toned picks from Emma’s makeup are the Matte Beauty Blush Wand in the shade Pillow Talk Pink Pop, £30 here, the Super Nudes Palette, £47 here, and her blush-coloured lips, which used a combination of Lip Cheat in shade 90s Pink, £21 here, Hollywood Beauty Icon Lipstick in K.I.S.S.I.N.G. 90s Pink, £27 here, and the new Pillow Talk Plumpgasm which is set to launch next month.
For her nails, Emma stuck to the pale pink colour scheme, with her manicurist Emi Kudo opting for a short, rounded shape and a neutral colour palette that was inspired by Emma’s character in Poor Things, Bella Baxter. Sharing a close up of the look on Instagram, Emi wrote: “The inspiration was #BellaBaxter’s cool undertone shade. My choice to create this look was @dazzle_dry ” before sharing her step-by-step guide to getting the look.
To get the colour, Emi mixed two different shades together. After prepping Emma’s nails with two base coats to give them some extra strength and smoothness, Emi used one coat of Dazzle Dry’s Peacfully Me nail varnish. Once dry, she applied a thin coat of Dazzle Dry’s Fine China to give them a milky finish. Sadly, the exact nail colours are only available in the US right now, but you can recreate the look using very similar shades from essie with Ballet Slippers, £8.99 here, and Marshmallow, £8.99 here.
Finally, when it came to her hair Emma opted for a sleek, loosely curled look that saw her signature red locks pushed behind her ears and falling down her back. Her stylist Mara Rozsak used several sizes of GHD curling wands and straighteners to create the sleek, shiny curls and waves for a modern take on Hollywood glamour.
To help set the style, Mara used velcro rollers to hold the curls in place, and you can similar ones from Superdrug, with this pack of 15 for £8 here. For Emma’s lightweight shine, Mara also used the RŌZ Santa Lucia Styling Oil, £44 here, which helps strengthen, smooth and hydrate hair.
Deceptively straightforward but still red carpet ready? That’s definitely a beauty look we can get on board with.
