Breakfast might be the most important meal of the day - but it's often overlooked.

In the busy morning rush to get out the door, breakfast can easily be forgotten about.

Now, there are no excuses thanks to Miguel Barclay, who has come up with a recipe for a delicious breakfast bar that you can grab and go and will keep you full all day.

Here's how to make them...

Peanut butter breakfast bars

Ingredients

  • 1 mug of rolled oats
  • Handful of raisins
  • 2 tbsp smooth peanut butter
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 egg

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C/160°C fan/gas mark 4 and line a small baking tin with greaseproof paper.
  2. Mix together the oats, raisins, peanut butter, honey and egg in a bowl until well combined.
  3. Transfer the mixture to the lined tin and press down with the back of a spoon (the mixture should be 2cm thick).
  4. Bake for about 20 minutes, then leave to cool before chopping into neat bars.
