Mel B and her daughter, Phoenix Chi, are set to add some extra spice to the next series of Celebrity Gogglebox, marking their first TV appearance together. Phoenix, now 25, previously starred in ITV's Olympics series The Games, while her mother, pop icon Mel B, has been a staple on TV talent shows, including serving as a judge on The X Factor.

An insider from the show expressed their excitement about the signing telling the Mirror: "It's so exciting to have Scary Spice and Phoenix on the sofa together, they're going to be fantastic." The duo will join an impressive star-studded lineup featuring the likes of Martin and Roman Kemp, Fearne Cotton, Gok Wan, Rylan Clark, Clare Balding and Gyles Brandreth.

Born and bred in Leeds, Mel B has previously described her US-raised eldest child as "very wise". Celebrating its sixth series return on June 7, Celebrity Gogglebox is all set to offer fans another round of hilarious, insightful celebrity commentary, reports the Mirror.

In other news, Mel B teased a possible Spice Girls 30th-anniversary live reunion in her recent book, ending on an optimistic note after a challenging period in her life. Mel isn't the only one to have teased a possible Spice Girls reunion as Victoria Beckham, also known as Posh Spice, shared a video of the group as they reunited for a special night. In celebration of Victoria's 50th birthday, the group were back together and sang their hit tune Stop Right Now at the lavish party.
