Julia Roberts has shared a rare glimpse into her life away from the spotlight as a proud mother and wife as she marked her twins birthdays with a reflective post.
The Hollywood actress, 56, celebrated her daughter Hazel Patricia and son Phinnaeus Walter's 19th birthday with a sweet black-and-white photo on social media that showed the twins as toddlers.
In the rare photo, baby Hazel and Phinnaeus are cuddled up in their famous mother's lap. The actress also shares 16 year old son, Henry, with her husband Danny Moder, 54.
The two have been married since July 2002, and recently celebrated their 21st wedding anniversary with a snap of the pair smooching.
Oscar winner Julia has spent the last two decades enjoying her favourite role as a wife to Danny and mum to Hazel, Phinnaeus and Henry.
She previously told the Wall Street Journal: "By the time we had kids, I had accomplished things and felt secure about that part of my life, I was so joyful moving into the family phase of my life in a sincere way."
In fact, "for a long time," she continued, the kids "weren't even aware that I had a job because I was home so much."
The Pretty Woman star met Danny in 2000 while shooting The Mexican where Danny worked as the cameraman and Julia co-starred with Brad Pitt.
But the pair were both in relationships with other people at the time, with Julia dating Miss Congeniality star Benjamin Bratt, and Daniel married to make-up artist Vera Steimberg.
By June 2001, both of their prior relationships had come to an end and they got together before walking down the aisle and tying the knot on July 4, 2002, at Julia's ranch in New Mexico.
For their big day, they reportedly invited a small group of 60 guests but their loved ones were told that they were attending an Independence Day party and only knew it was a wedding upon arrival.
When asked about the secret to a successful marriage, Julia told E! News in 2022: "I always say the same thing, and I’m sticking with it. It’s making out. Lots of making out.”
While they are an extremely private couple, they do share cute pictures of each other on their Instagram profiles on special occasions including birthdays and anniversaries.
During an interview with CBS Sunday Morning, Julia previously opened up about her decision to take a back seat on acting and how her and her husband keep their relationship alive.
She said: "The life that I've built with my husband and the life that we've built with our children. And that's the best stuff … The point is to come home at the end of the day triumphantly to them."
She also kept the very first letter Danny ever wrote her.
Julia confessed: "It's something Danny and I have always done. The first letter he ever wrote me, which was seven pages long, I still have it tucked away. One day I'll show it to [my daughter] Hazel and say, 'That's what you're looking for.'"
While the couple rarely put their relationship in the spotlight, the actress recently revealed that she and her cinematographer husband were ringing in their 21st wedding anniversary.
The couple shared a kiss in a sweet snap. Julia captioned it: "21 #truelove #heckyeah #fromhereonout."
