Love Island All Stars contestant Georgia Harrison has broken her silence following her split from Anton Danyluk after the pair called time on their relationship last month.
Georgia, who rose to fame on Love Island back in 2017, appeared on the All Stars spin-off version of the show earlier this year where she connected with fellow contestant Anton. However, things weren’t to be for the pair and they split after leaving the villa.
But now the TV personality has said that “I don’t need a man to be happy” as she navigates life away from the world of dating shows and relationships.
Speaking to The Sun, 29 year old Georgia explained that post-split she wasn’t “manifesting a man” and was instead focusing on her career and her campaign work.
“I'm not manifesting a man...I clearly don’t do dating very well, I’ve done enough dating shows and they never seem to work out for me,” she said.
She added: “I am genuinely at the point where I don’t need a man to be happy – maybe that isn’t my purpose in life.”
But when asked whether she’d give dating shows another chance, having entered the Love Island villa twice, Georgia admitted that there were “no more” dating shows on the horizon for her as she focuses on other TV work instead.
“I’ll always be a face on TV, no more dating shows but I’d like to do documentaries, but I won’t do dating shows again – I’m not good at it,” she explained.
Georgia’s life update comes after 29 year old Anton addressed their split during an episode of his What’s The Crack podcast, which he co-hosts alongside his mum, Sherie.
Speaking about the speculation surrounding the end of their relationship, Anton stated: “In the press, a source said the distance was the issue, now we were in London every other week so I don't think distance was the issue.”
Anton then said that this “wasn't the case” and that he “wanted to clear up the whole break up in general”. He added that when he and Georgia left the South African villa earlier in the year, they “tried to give it a fair go” but things just didn't work out.
In response, Anton’s mum Sherie weighed in on the events and confirmed that Anton and Georgia did see each other a lot after Love Island: All Stars ended. However, she said that she “knew within that it was actually just a really really good friendship.”
