Good Morning Britain star Martin Lewis has revealed how to bag easyJet’s “cheapest possible” flights – though you need to act quick to be in with a chance of securing the best rates available.
Martin, who is known for his amazing money saving hacks, issued the “urgent” warning to his social media followers as he announced that easyJet would be releasing the next batch of seats for its spring 2025 flights today, Tuesday, 21 May.
Applicable to anyone looking to travel between Monday, 3 March 2025 and Sunday, 15 June 2025, Martin, 52, urged holidaymakers to “try early” with tickets for the flights going on sale from around 6am today (Tuesday, 21 May).
“Urgent: Just heard Easyjet launching its March to June 2025 flights tomorrow from 6am-ish. Bagging them the moment they launch (browser refreshing type thing) is often (no guarantee) the way to get them at the cheapest possible rate. Flights can rise by £100s even after a couple of hours of launch morning. So if you're going to book, try early,” he wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.
“PS Cheapest possible, doesn't necessarily mean cheap, do check what a decent rate is before booking”.
The TV personality then added that “timing is everything” as he encouraged social media users to spread the word. He wrote: “Feel free to share the post below with anyone you know books their flights early. Like good comedy, timing is everything…”
Providing further information for the travel hack, MoneySavingExpert added that grabbing tickets the very moment they go on sale is the best way to ensure that you’re getting the best possible price as easyJet’s “dynamic pricing” model means that prices vary according to demand.
According to the money saving website, demand for tickets is “almost always low” the moment the second batch of seats are released – which in this instance is on Tuesday, 21 May.
While it’s unclear at this stage how many seats will be available in the latest ticket drop, and exactly what time tickets will be released, MoneySavingExpert explained that based on previous years 6am is a “good time” to check if you want to get yourself a bargain.
Martin’s travel tip comes after he issued a stark warning to anyone with a private or company pension, urging them to take action to avoid potential future issues.
