Stars from across the world of TV have been showing their support for Megan McKenna and her fiancé Oliver Burke following the news that they are expecting their first child together.
Announcing the news on Thursday, 4 April, the pair shared a sweet montage on Instagram which featured clips from their pregnancy journey so far, including their positive pregnancy test, scans and Megan’s growing baby bump.
Captioning the heartwarming Instagram video, Megan, 31, wrote: “A little bit of you & a little bit of me… now we’re a family”.
Following the news, messages of congratulations flooded the pair’s Instagram, with the likes of Stacey Solomon, Scarlett Moffatt and Charlotte Crosby showing their support.
Megan and 26 year old Oliver’s happy news comes one year after the happy couple went public with their relationship.
Confirming news of their romance, the TV personality shared a series of snaps to her Instagram in April 2023 which showed them enjoying a lavish trip to Paris. Captioning the post, she wrote: “The perfect trip with the perfect person.”
Speaking to OK! at the time, Megan revealed that they'd been “inseparable” since their first date.
“We have mutual friends and our first date was just so lovely – we’ve been inseparable ever since. We literally do everything together and I’m so happy. He’s such a lovely person and I’m really positive about everything – my life and my relationship,” she said.
After five months together, Birmingham City footballer Oliver got down on one knee and popped the question to Megan during a gorgeous beachside proposal in June last year.
Sharing the news on Instagram alongside a video of the proposal, country music star Megan said: “YES YES YES a thousand times YES.
“You have opened up a world I never thought was possible. I love you Oliver Burke… here’s to forever my future husband.”
In the video, Megan could be seen wearing a blindfold as she sat next to Oliver on a boat, as they travelled to a mysterious location.
Once back on land, she took off the blindfold where she was met with a stunning ring and giant letters which spelled out ‘Marry Me’ before Oliver got down on one knee.
Meanwhile, Oliver shared the same video to his Instagram account, but added: “I promise to love you for the rest of my life. Can't wait to grow old with you my wife to be. I love you. Forever. And always.”
