Mike Tindall enjoyed a sweet daddy daughter day with his youngest daughter Lena while her mum Zara Tindall attended the Cheltenham Races.

Former I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! star Mike, 45, took five year old Lena to take part in The Rugby for Heroes Fun Run at Sir Thomas Richs School and Old Richians RFC, in Gloucester on January 28.

The ex-England rugby star and his daughter looked adorable in matching red race t-shirts, with their race numbers on their fronts.

Mike wore his over a dark long-sleeved top and grey tracksuit bottoms, while Lena had on some dark leggings and a cap.

They could be seen holding hands as they ran the 5k fun run, after which, Mike could be seen tickling his daughter's tummy as she giggled. Mike and Lena both wore medals for completing the race.

Meanwhile, Mike's wife and Lena's mum, Zara, 42, was spotted enjoying the racing at Cheltenham Racecourse on January 27.

The Royal, who is a granddaughter of the late Queen Elizabeth, is British equestrian and an Olympian in horse riding.

Zara looked fabulous in a burgundy coat which was cinched in at the waist with a black leather belt. She wore the coat over a blue rollneck sweater which paired perfectly with her navy trilby hat.

She wore gold hooped earrings, burgundy leather gloves and a matching bag, and at one point, she donned tortoiseshell sunglasses to shield her eyes from the winter sunshine.

Mike, Zara, and their three children, Mia, 10, Lena, five, and three year old Lucas, recently returned from an extended trip to Australia.

The Royal couple are known to love it Down Under, and incidentally, that is where they met for the very first time.

The pair's first encounter occurred during the Australian Rugby World Cup in 2003 when Mike was playing for England and Zara was on her gap year.

After rugby player Mike was dropped from the squad shortly before the semi-final, he ventured out to a local pub with two of his mates, Martin Corry and Austin Healy, and soon bumped into his wife-to-be.

Speaking to the Daily Mail in 2011 about their first meeting, he explained: “Austin gave me her number and said, 'She wants you to text her, to say where you're all going out after the final so she can come along.”

Following their initial encounter, the pair began talking and their relationship went from strength to strength.

When asked if Zara's royal status added to any pressure he may have felt during the early stages of their relationship, Mike went on: “No, because we were friends first, and then William and Harry were massive English fans at the time. So we’d met them numerous times.

"So as things go, I met more of the family than you would normally have met of the family of the woman you start dating.”
