Whether it's an impromptu long weekend or a tropical holiday you've been planning for years, there are some essentials that no traveller can do without. For Millie Mackintosh, these must-haves include packing cubes, reusable silicone travel bottles and a universal adaptor plug, which made packing for her last-minute trip to Greece a breeze.
The former Made in Chelsea star took to Instagram last week to share each of the items she can't travel without, and its safe to say that all of them are perfect for saving space and keeping her belongings organised in her suitcase. They also start from £3.50, making them budget-friendly too - we'll definitely be taking notes for our next holiday!
First on her list are the OrgaWise Packing Organiser Cube 9 Pieces, £18.99 here (was £24.99), which she says are crucial for preventing overpacking. The set includes eight different packing cubes and a handy toiletry bag to keep your clothes, shoes, cosmetics, electronics and toiletries separate and neatly organised for easy unpacking at your destination.
They're also useful for separating dirty clothes from clean ones during your holiday, so when you get home, you know exactly what needs washing, reports the Mirror.
Although the set comes with a toiletries bag, Millie also mentioned that she prefers using her own reusable bag to keep her makeup and cosmetics together. While we couldn't find the exact one she uses, this Revolution Pro Miracle Travel Bag, £8.40 here (was £12), is a great alternative.
She also revealed her secret to keeping toiletries organised while travelling - the Opret 100ml Silicone Travel Bottles, available for £7.99 here (was £9.99). These bottles are perfect for decanting essentials like shampoo, conditioner and body cream into and are just the right size for airport security. Their different colours also make it easy to identify what's inside each one at a glance.
To keep her makeup brushes clean and separate from other items, Millie uses the FERYES Travel Makeup Brush Holder, available for £12.99 here. This prevents makeup from transferring onto other things in your bag. Plus, the silicone holder is flexible and easy to clean, making it a handy addition to any travel kit.
Millie also recommends the Universal Travel Adapter Worldwide, available for £12.99 here (was £15.99), as a practical essential to make sure you're never caught out without a plug adaptor again. Instead of carrying multiple adaptors or realising too late that you've brought the wrong one, this universal adaptor ensures you're always ready to charge your electronics, no matter where you are in the world.
Another great practical essential, the Aufisi Clear Travel Toiletry Bags, £3.99 here (down from £4.39), and measure 20x20cm and can hold up to 1L of liquids, making them fully approved for airport security. She also recommends the BNFGD Hat Clip for Bag Travel, priced at £3.59 here, which she uses to hang sun hats from her bag to prevent them from getting squashed or damaged while travelling.
