A Place In The Sun host Jonnie Irwin has died at the age of 50 after battling lung cancer for three years.
The TV star was diagnosed with stage four cancer in 2020 and kept it private until 2022, when he shared the devastating news with fans for the first time.
In the months that followed, he frequently shared updates on his treatment and vowed to spend as much time as possible with his young family.
Jonnie is survived by his wife Jessica and their three young sons, five year old Rex, and three year old twins, Rafa and Cormac.
Jessica, 40, has stood by his side throughout the last three years as he battled his cancer.
The couple married in 2016 which Jonnie described at the time as the "happiest weekend of my life".
Not much else is known about Jessica as she is not a public figure and doesn't have public accounts on social media.
She can be seen in some of Jonnie's Instagram posts, including one which saw them on a trip to Paris to celebrate his 49th birthday.
"By my side throughout this is my wife so thought I'd take us to Paris for the weekend," said Jonnie.
Property expert Jonnie and wife Jessica welcomed their eldest son, Rex, in December 2018.
On Christmas Day that year, Jonnie posted a picture on Instagram of himself and Jessica with newborn Rex.
"Merry Christmas! Hope you had a great day - we spent all morning unwrapping this fella," he wrote.
"No name yet but at 8.8 pounds he's already making an impression. Mum and baby doing well. #bruiser"
In June 2020, Jonnie shared a sweet photo with his wife and their newborn twin boys in the hospital, saying: "They've arrived! After a long day in hospital the boys finally decided to make an appearance."
"They are identical in every way including weighing a good 5 pounds 7 each. No names yet."
"Jess was her usual magnificent self. I'm so proud of her for carrying around what looked like a planet these last few weeks and huge thanks to the amazing staff at The RVI in Newcastle."
He also mentioned: "Due to lockdown restrictions I've had to leave mum and twins in the hospital and await their return home so giving Rex as much fun and love as possible. We know having 3 boys under 18 months is gonna be hard but it's better to have a surfeit of good news rather than a deficit. Bring it on!"
In October 2023, Jonnie hailed his wife as an "angel" in a heartfelt tribute as the couple marked their seven year anniversary.
The couple dined out for the special occasion, and enjoyed a glass of fizz with dessert.
In a sweet snap shared with his 223k Instagram followers, Jonnie said: "7 years married to this Angel. I use this term because the love she shows to others is beyond comparison.
"Last night was just us; chatting, planning and gossiping. So good. Amazing food and staff at @lovagejesmond made our evening perfect. #anniversary."
Jonnie was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer in 2020, but didn't publicly reveal his diagnosis until November 2022.
He was initially given six months to live, but, despite the cancer spreading to his brain, outlived doctor’s predictions with the help of medication, radiotherapy and chemotherapy, before his tragic passing in 2023.
