The world of fashion is in mourning as Australian Vogue model Sian Scale has died.
The beauty who graced the pages of leading glossies like Vogue and Vanity Fair, has sadly died at age 28 after being diagnosed with a rare form of cancer.
The Melbourne-based stunner, whose portfolio boasts work with top-tier brands such as Marc Jacobs, Burberry and Chanel, passed away earlier this week.
Sian, who signed to the respected Chadwick modelling agency, was fondly remembered by her family for her strength and grace.
In a moving statement following her death, they said "She was determined and strong and had such grace in navigating the most difficult year of her life with such acceptance, optimism and vulnerability."
Receiving treatment at the Peter McCallum Cancer Centre near Melbournes centre, Sian demonstrated remarkable composure throughout her health struggle, never voicing complaints about her diagnosis.
The Herald reported: "She was determined and strong and had such grace in navigating the most difficult year of her life with such acceptance, optimism and vulnerability.
"Sian was very generous, loving, kind, fun, adventurous and modest."
In a final farewell message on social media, the brilliant model left followers with one last plea: "If anyone wants to do anything in memory of me, it is to give blood it is the gift of life."
Chadwick Models also paid heartfelt tribute to the late 28 year old beauty in a poignant post, reports the Mirror.
The modelling world is in mourning after the agency announced the heart-breaking news: "It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we mourn the passing of our beautiful model Sian Scale.
"She was dearly loved by our Chadwick team, models, her international agents and clients.
"Sian was a bright and unique light in our world who unapologetically marched to her own beat. We will all miss her more than words can express, and her incredible work in pictures will immortalise her forever."
Hailing from Mansfield, 124 miles northeast of Melbourne, Sian's family shared that she was as comfortable in the countryside as she was strutting down city catwalks.
They fondly remembered her adventurous spirit: "She was always willing to try something new and did things on her own terms.
Quickly making a name for herself as likeable and easygoing, Sian's generous spirit and natural beauty saw her quickly snapped up as a model to watch in her home country."
Social media has been flooded with tributes, with one touching post stating: "Sian was an absolute joy to be around. Condolences to her loved ones and the Fashion Community. Rest Peacefully sweet Angel."
