In a heartfelt revelation, Amaia Arrieta, the children's clothing designer favoured by the royals, has shared her deep concern for Prince William and Kate Middleton amidst the Princess of Wales' cancer battle. The family friend described the situation as "going through hell" since the diagnosis came to light.
Amaia, known for crafting the adorable ensembles worn by the young royals, expressed her emotions in an interview with the Telegraph: "I'm heartbroken at the moment. I think they are going through hell."
She continued with a hopeful note and said: "I hope they will be back. It's really personal."
The Spanish designer has been a go-to for the Wales children's wardrobe ever since Prince George was a tot, with her designs gaining prominence after featuring in a portrait of the young prince in 2014. Amaia takes immense pride in dressing the royal youngsters, a sentiment she conveyed during the conversation, reports the Mirror.
Meanwhile, William recently offered a rare insight into his family's wellbeing amid Kate's ongoing treatment. On a visit to the northeast of England, he engaged with well-wishers, including Julie Cain, 60, who inquired about his family.
The future king reassured her and responded: "All doing well, thank you. Yes, we're doing well."
William has been gradually returning to his royal duties after his wife, Kate, bravely shared her cancer diagnosis and ongoing chemotherapy treatment last month. The couple went on to delight fans by sharing a gorgeous unseen snap from their wedding day to mark their 13th anniversary.
This significant moment comes as Kate continues her battle with cancer, having started chemotherapy following her diagnosis earlier this year. When she revealed her health struggle last month, she asked for understanding and privacy during her treatment.
Kate, 42, expressed that the diagnosis was a massive shock, and she and William "have been doing everything we can to process and manage this privately for the sake of our young family". Her cancer diagnosis has no doubt affected the whole family and a royal expert has explained what this means for their ongoing rift with Prince Harry.
Speaking exclusively to OK! Jennie Bond said Harry's relationship with Williams appears to be "terminally damaged". She explained: "In a way, it seems the boot is now very much on the other foot. Previously it was Harry who was the 'victim' looking for an apology for all his perceived grievances. Now those grievances must seem utterly trivial (even to Harry) in the face of a very real problem: cancer.
"Kate and William are involved in a frightening fight and I don’t think they have the will or the strength to confront someone, even a brother, who picked a fight over issues that seem pathetic by comparison."
Jennie added: "William is doing everything he possibly can to protect his wife and I very much doubt that they want to deal with 'the Harry problem' right now, if ever."
